Shawna Rencher is an accomplished model, martial artist, flamenco dancer, actress, director and a font of creativity. She is one of the few beauties who knows how to work the camera in front of the lens and behind the scenes.
"Shall I begin like Oliver Twist? I am born. I grow up."
Shawna's interest in the Creative Life began at a young age. In elementary school Shawna always had a vivid and active imagination. It manifested itself in theatre, creative writing and art. By the age of 12, Shawna also began her study of martial arts and a few years later also became involved in flamenco under the direction of Antonia Perlacia. In high school Shawna began professionally modeling and acting, and after graduation, as she sought a higher education at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX (where she successfully earned a BA in History and a minor in Theology), she continued to develop as an artist.
In Spring of 2007, Shawna earned her 2nd degree black belt in Northern Shaolin, Northern Praying Mantis kung fu. She has also further developed her talents as a model, actress and producer. Resume highlights include the hilarious new show, "Placeholders," a Heineken commercial, a Christian web series nominated for an Imagen award, and a podcast with an international fan base. Her experience, resume and skills continue to evolve.
Known for her strong worth ethic, commitment to projects and all-around abilities as a performing artist, there seems to be no project she cannot tackle. When asked where she wants to go from here, she smiles and replies, "I am always looking forward, ready for the next project. I love collaborating with professional artists and strive to create the best possible product that I can. I am always ready for a challenge!"
